The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Umpqua Valley exist to inspire all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as responsible and caring citizens.
Current Club News: July 11, 2008 -- On Wednesday, the Portland Trailblazers visited the Boys & Girls Club and nearly 100 kids participated in the free basketball clinic. Blaze the Trailcat even made an appearance and signed many autographs for the kids...and even some of the staff. For pictures of the event, please visit the Blazer website.
July 10, 2008 -- The Boys & Girls Club is excited to announce that it has received a grant from the C. Giles Hunt Charitable Trust! Funds from this grant will be used to provide daily programs after school and in the summer.
July 3, 2008 -- Get ready for fall sports! Early Bird Registration begins on Monday, July 7. You can print the form online and bring it to the Club to make registration quicker.
June 17, 2008 -- Summer programs have officially started at the Boys & Girls Club but it's not too late get your child signed up! Visit the Summer Program page for more information or come by our offices on Cedar Street (down the street from the DMV) to register your kids today!
June 16, 2008 -- The Boys & Girls Club outdoor fitness & patio area are complete thanks to the hard work by Project Leadership, a community leadership course sponsored by the Chamber. Visit the Clubhouse Photos page to view pictures of the new outdoor area. A special thanks to Pacific Power for their donation to purchase the fitness structure.
