Family Programs

Family PLUS
The Family PLUS program focuses on the Club’s partnership with families. By collaborating with other community agencies, the Club supports families and the positive development of their children by providing family social time, access to community resources, and education.

Family Education
Staff are trained to facilitate the national Strengthening Families program, in partnersthip with ADAPT, also known as Family Camp. Offered each summer, Family Camp works with up to 15 families of youth ages 10-15, helping to improve communication and problem solving. Other educational programs include sessions for parents.

Family Resources
The Club often deals with families whose resources are limited. The Club offers reduced membership fees for youth who qualify for free or reduced lunches; manages the Sight for Students program which provides free exams and eyeglasses to children; and works closely with United Community Action Network (UCAN) to refer families to get the help they need to obtain medical resources, food and clothing.

Family Nights
Four times each year, the Club hosts a Family Night event. Family Nights provide a great place for parents to have fun with their kids. Annual themed nights include our Fall Pie Social, our Holiday Jingle Jam, the Valentine’s Bingo, and our Spring Family Fitness Night. In addition, the Club hosts our annual member recognition program, the BE GREAT Banquet, an event for members and their families.
